App Store screenshot sizes (2026)
Apple only requires screenshots for the largest iPhone and iPad displays — everything smaller is scaled down automatically. Upload the 6.9-inch iPhone set (plus a 13-inch iPad set if your app runs on iPad) and you're covered for every device.

The rules that trip people up
- Up to 10 screenshots per device size, per localization.
- JPEG or PNG, RGB color space, no transparency.
- Only the first three matter in search results — most installs happen before anyone opens your product page.
- Design at 1320 × 2868 and export the alternative sizes from the same artboard; Apple scales down for older devices automatically.
- App previews (videos) are a separate asset with their own specs — 15 to 30 seconds, captured at device resolution.
